Have you ever noticed the long spindly legs on a butterfly? Me either until I was looking through some pictures I took at a butterfly garden a few weeks ago.
The last image I want to share is probably my favorite. Sometimes, when I take a picture the image itself reminds me of something or someone else. An easy and clear example of this is the above image. I knew when I took it that I would pair it with that verse. An easy match, right?
When I took this last image I knew it was something special. The angle I had to stand to get the shot and the position of the sun completely blew out all color and shape in the right side while creating a vibrant wash of color on the left. I still didn’t realize what it would, in essence, say but when I read this verse I knew they went together.
Moreover, the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day when the LORD binds up the brokenness of his people, and heals the wounds inflicted by his blow. Isaiah 30:26
Brokenness comes to us in this world. Pain is a stark reality of our fallen state. But God promises that healing will come and that He will bind up the wounds of His people. Hope will land gently bringing a rousing light and flourishing color to us once again.
Amazing pictures! And I love the analogies you draw so effortlessly! Such beauty and such comfort. Together. Thank you for sharing your great gift on NOBH!
